Historical Committee
Overview
The Historical Committee is comprised of volunteers who convene regularly to discuss matters of historical interest and importance to the Borough. The group has participated in letter-writing campaigns to support the preservation of Blauvelt Mansion, in addition to attending Mayor and Council meetings and advocating for the preservation of Oradell's historical artifacts and landmarks.
The committee meets at Borough Hall on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. No meetings are held in July, August or December. Meetings are open to the public and new members are always welcome. Committee Members are annually appointed.
To view historic photographs of Oradell (including individual house pictures) or to learn more about local history, residents can make an appointment to visit Oradell Free Public Library's Local History Room.
